People living in a Semmes neighborhood say they're sick of crime and are trying to do something about it. Homeowners in the ponderosa subdivision off Howells Ferry road say they've been plagued by different incidents in recent weeks. Residents point to graffiti, ATV's tearing up lawns and some incidents of burglary. They're trying to organize a neighborhood watch to do early morning patrols. They say that's when most of these incidents are taking place.
“We're just asking for any help we can get to help our problem because we just want our neighborhood to be safe and peaceful again,” says homeowner Wanda Williams. Williams say she's looking for people in the neighborhood that want to help out. She says most of the crimes have been happening between midnight and three in the morning.
