Around mobile, American flags are symbols of remembrance today. Alabama Governor Bob Riley ordered all flags at half-staff for 9-11. Many of those lower flags could be seen at Battleship Park today, 9/11/09. In a news release from the governor's office, Riley says 9-11 is a day to honor the men and women who protect our country and communities everyday. The governor also declared today a day of prayer and remembrance. You can read the governor’s full news release here.
