They may be little but they seemed to understand the President's message about their education. We're talking about students at E.R. Dickson Elementary School in Mobile. They tuned in Tuesday morning to watch President Obama's address. As Obama told them to take responsibility of their education, they paid attention, most of the time. We wanted to know what they took away from the speech. Here's what we found out, "what did I learn from that speech? Oh, that he is a very good President and he is trying to make the country better by also making the kids better," said 5th grader, Griffin Tucker. Not everyone was in favor of the President addressing students. ER Dickson's principal, Missy Nolen, dealt with the controversy by sending home permission slips to parents. Those children who were allowed to watch the speech watched it live. Those who were not, we're given another activity to do.
