Police are investigating how an Ocean Springs man drowned while cleaning his pool.
According to police, 55 year old Peter Freitas drowned Sunday afternoon at his home on Blue Heron. Police say Freitas was cleaning his pool around Noon. About 20 minutes later, his wife found him at the bottom. She pulled him out and called 911.
Officers and EMT's tried to resuscitate Freitas. He was pronounced dead at Ocean Springs Hospital.
