Important Parking News For USA Game

If you're going to watch the South Alabama Jaguars play their first football game Saturday afternoon, know that some things are going to be different from other football games played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Crews painted the football field Friday.
All the stadium needs now is fans, and there should be plenty.
Travis Toth, South Alabama's Associate Athletic Director, said, "We were probably sitting around 25,000 tickets, and that's sold and distributed. As you know, our students are free, so we're anticipating about 5,000 to 6,000 students which go into that number."
A high school game between Citronelle and LeFlore was played Friday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, so stadium officials had less than 24 hours to get the stadium ready for the college game.
Paul Christopher, the general manager of Ladd-Peebles Stadium, said, "Probably the biggest thing that we have to do is to change out the goalposts. High school goal posts are wider than college goal posts, but, other than that, what we refer to as the 'get-ready' is the same: the bathrooms, the concourses, the cleanup."
If you're used to going to football games at Ladd Peebles Stadium one thing will be very different Saturday: parking.
You have to have a parking pass to park in the stadium parking lot and those are sold out.
Toth said, "Out of the 1400, 1500 parking spots, those were all dedicated season ticket holders. As you can imagine, we had over 2000 accounts, so we gave every season ticket holder the option first to purchase for the year, and we sold out."
Of course, you can park around the neighborhood or take a shuttle to the stadium.
There will be continuous shuttle service to the stadium from Bel-Air Mall Saturday starting at 11 am.
The cost will be $2.50 round trip.
