The United States Marshals Service is looking for a convicted killer on the run since 1990. He could be hiding on the Gulf Coast.

Glen Chambers was convicted for the 1975 beating death of Connie Weeks, a single mother from Sarasota, Florida.

Chambers was waiting to be transferred to death row when he and two other inmates escaped from the Polk Correctional Facility in Polk City. He was captured a few days later and transferred to death row.

The death sentence was later vacated and Chambers returned to the Polk Correctional Facility to serve a life sentence. On February 21, 1990 Chambers hid in a piece of furniture that he loaded onto a truck bound for Daytona and hasn't been seen since.

Chambers was recently featured on an episode of America’s Most Wanted. Someone who saw the show believes they saw a man who resembled the aged composite drawing of Chambers (on the right) in Mobile. The caller said the man is a construction worker in Orange Beach.

About two years ago, another tipster reported talking to a man resembling Chambers in a bar in Orange Beach. The tipster stated the suspect claimed to have escaped from a prison in Florida.

If anyone has any information on Chambers, call the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force at 251.544.1120.
