Grand Bay Middle School is dealing with the loss of one of their teachers. 34-year-old Louie Carvin was found dead in his submerged SUV Sunday at the end of the Ft. Morgan ferry dock. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office does not suspect foul play but they're still investigating what went wrong. Counselors will be on hand at Grand Bay Middle Tuesday to help students with the tragic news. Those who knew Carvin say he was the kind of teacher who made a difference in his student's lives,"when I think of Mr. Carvin, I'm always thinking of a high quality guy, high character guy, high moral guy, great family man, students love him. Mr.Carvin loves his kids, loves Grand Bay Middle School, such a tragic event that were dealing with," said Grand Bay Principal Wade Whitney. Carvin had been teaching 8th grade language arts at Grand Bay Middle for the last 3 years. We're told he is survived by his wife and their infant son.
