Pot Bust Spans 3 Houses

Law officers from multiple agencies broke up a major marijuana growing operation at three houses, 6562 Jib Road West, 5400 Chutney Road and 5540 Kushla McCleod Road.

Inside the three houses officers found an elaborate indoor growing system equipped with an irrigation system and lighting. WKRG News 5 Photographer Tim Jones went along with officers and describes the smell from the marijuana as overpowering...so strong, he could smell it out in the yard before going inside the house. Police say the equipment found in the homes is for making and distributing high grade marijuana.

So far, police have at least three people in custody. Suspects will be charged with trafficking marijuana. If you have any information in the case, call Mobile Police.
