Jumpstart is trying to break a record while helping children explore the world through reading.

Jumpstart, a non profit group encouraging pre-schoolers to read held it's Fourth Annual Read For The Record Day. The organization is trying to break a record for the largest shared reading experience on the same day.
It's an effort schools are participating in all over the country.

Wal-Mart is the official retail sponsor and management at the Daphne store invited WKRG News 5's Rose Ann Haven to join their efforts by reading to a group of four year olds.
Haven read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
Wal-Mart is also donating proceeds from book sales to Jumpstart.
