A jury has been seated in the Herman Thomas Sex trial.
The former judge is accused of paddling inmates for sexual pleasure.
The jury that will decide his fate is composed of eight men and eight women. Four of those are alternates.
Judge Claud Neilson said he wants opening statements to begin this afternoon. Court officials are in the process of moving proceedings up to a courtroom on the 4th floor of Government Plaza.
