Judge Bob Sherling didn't appreciate the name calling on national TV but still gave the junkman from Semmes more time to clean up.

Last week, Paul Hamman was featured on the A&E show called Hoarders.

In the season finale, Hamman was complaining about the judge in his criminal littering case and called him a three letter word. Even though the show brought along a cleanup crew, only 30-40% of the mess was actually cleaned up.

Hamman was back in court on Monday facing a 90-day jail sentence. After seeing the show, the county asked the judge for one final extension and plan to work with Hamman to get his property in compliance.

Mobile County attorney Jay Ross says they are considering giving Hamman a junkyard permit so he can fence in his stuff. "That means that he could leave most of this if he constructs a fence around the perimeter of his property. Why wasn't this done sooner? I don't know why he couldn't do it sooner. I don't know. There's a reference to some mental diminished capacity issues with him and so I'm really not sure."

Hamman apologized to the judge for the name calling and left grateful for the extra time.

The county says that the producers of A&E have offered to help Hamman again so he doesn't have to spend time in jail. He is expected back in court on November 30th.
