Mobile fire officials say a gas leak caused the evacuation of thousands of concert-goers Saturday night at the 15th annual Bayfest.
Fire officials say they received the call of a gas leak around 11:30 Saturday night on the south side of Dauphin Street around the Miller Lite stage. Officials say the leak was caused by a patron standing on a gas meter.
Mobile Police evacuated the area as a precaution. That forced many to miss part of the Ludacris show.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
