Bel Air Mall in Mobile was packed with people looking for a bargain.

Some folks we spoke to say the economy has them cutting back on expensive gifts and they're being forced to pinch their pennies.
"Usually I have enough money from to buy from extended family all the way to friends now I'm just gonna have to do intermediate (sic) family," said Grand Bay resident Laken Anderson.
The holiday shopping season accounts for around 40% of annual sales and profits at many stores.
