Many of you spent the day before Thanksgiving picking up last minute odds and ends for your big feast.
Local grocery stores all over our area reported a steady flow of traffic all day. According to national studies, the price of most holiday ingredients is down slightly from last year.
We asked how much some of you are paying for this year's Thanksgiving dinner.
Pat Hill is feeding a small army and says she spent about what she did last year. "Oh maybe 150 total.. turkey ham everything."
Julie Middleton remembers paying the same amount in 2008. "Around 125. Is that about average for you? Yes."
Leo Waltman from Turnerville says there are just two to feed at his house. "Well, I spent 43 but I'm gonna tell my wife I spent 63. What are you gonna do with that extra money? Go to Atmore!"
According to the Alabama Farmers Federation, the prices of vegetables, cranberry sauce and pre-packaged stuffing are up. On a good note, you'll pay less for turkeys, sweet potato and butter this holiday season!
