Hundreds have lined up at a Birmingha-area book store in hopes of meeting two key Republican players in last year's presidential race.
A crowd estimated by police at about 1,800 lined up beginning Saturday night for a chance to get one of the 1,000 wristbands needed to meet former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Monday afternoon.
Palin will be signing copies of her just-released book, "Going Rogue," at the Books-A-Million store at Colonial Brookwood Village.
About 500 people packed the same store Sunday afternoon to get former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to sign his new book, "A Simple Christmas." Huckabee ran for the Republican nomination for president last year.
Palin was the Republican candidate for vice president in 2008.
