Is Anyone Hiring?

This is the time of year when companies are looking for holiday help, but with unemployment in Alabama at it's highest in 25 years, the competition is bigger than ever and the jobs harder to find. But, we did find one local company that's still looking to fill seasonal spots. Scott Gonzalez owns The Nuthouse and Three Georges candy company in Mobile. He's looking to hire as many as 20 people for the holidays. And, getting your foot in the door with his company could lead to something more permanent, "sometimes we get somebody who's part time and they end up wow-ing us and we go wow this is a great person, we want to try to work something out to where we can keep this person full time," said Gonzalez. Gonzalez says he's already received hundreds of applications but he's accepting more. You can only apply in person at their plant at 558 South Broad Street from 7 to 8 in the morning.
