Fairhope Man Pleads Guilty To Hitting Cyclists

Bradford Maples of Fairhope entered a plea Friday morning in a Baldwin County courtroom.

Bradford Maples was behind the wheel, driving drunk, when he struck three cyclists on County Road 1 south of Point Clear in August. The victims were Tracey Wall, Craig Ross, and his wife, Angela Ross.
Friday, Maples pleaded guilty to three counts of assault and driving under the influence. He was given a year is prison, which was suspended and put on two years probation.
He must also go to a rehab facility beginning Monday. Maples was also ordered to pay medical and court costs.
