Mobile County's Revenue Commissioner promises accountability after money disappears from her office,
We first told you about the missing 20,000 tax dollars two weeks ago-- and expected to get some answers today.
Commissioner Marilyn Wood admits that the criminal investigation is taking longer than expected because they're interviewing so many people.
We know the money still hasn't been found and no one has been fired or arrested.
Wood admits that she's disappointed that this happened on her watch. "The accountability will be all there and it will be taken care of at the end of the investigation. It's very disappointing"
The investigation is expected to be complete sometime after Thanksgiving. We'll let you know the outcome.
