A car plowed into the living room of a house in Mobile with children inside.
The accident happened Thursday afternoon at 600 Via Court at the corner of Panorama Boulevard.
Betty Casher said she was leaving her living room just as the car plowed through the wall.
She said, "Something just went off like a bomb and I thought the stove had blown up."
Casher wasn't seriously hurt.
Neither was the driver, who talked to police, but police Thursday afternoon said they had no idea how the accident happened.
They did say there didn't seem to be a medical reason for the crash.
Casher said three children were in the house at the time and she had just taken them to another room before the accident.
The three children are Casher's grandchildren, aged four, three, and two.
Casher's pregnant daughter Chantelle was in the house, too, but wasn't hurt.
Another of Casher's daughters, Darlene Martin, said she got a call from Chantelle after the accident and rushed to the scene.
Martin said Chantelle "said a car was inside the house and she was crying and screaming."
Martin knew the accident could have been much more serious.
She said, "I don't know what to think. All I can do is thank God for it not being something much worse than it is now. But, you can always replace a house: you can never replace a life."
Mobile Police have not released the name of the driver or said if there had been any charges filed in the case.
