The thunderous roar of motorcycles could be heard throughout Baldwin County today, 11/7/09. It was all for a good cause. Bikers from around the region gathered for the 8th annual Angel Ride. Nearly two-thousand rode from Oak Hallow Farm in Fairhope around south Baldwin County. The event raises money for children with special needs.
“We felt like there's such a need there's needs everywhere but in our area we find that applications to the tune of maybe 15 a week for children who need these things and insurance does not provide that,” says Angel Ride Chairman Albert Corte. The bikers hope to raise more than $100,000 this year. The two day event wraps up tonight with a concert by the Charlie Daniels Band.
