The election is a year away, but the race for the governor's mansion is kicking into high gear.
Six of the candidates who hope to replace Governor Bob Riley took part in a debate Tuesday night on the Auburn University campus. They fielded questions on topics ranging from education and ethics reform to funding education and creating jobs.
Below is a list of the candidates who took part in the debate:
Republicans: Robert Bentley, Bradley Byrne, Tim James and Bill Johnson
Democrats: Artur Davis, Ron Sparks
