Two Baldwin County families have been wiped out financially by an international lottery scam. But, Foley Police believe they have made a dent in the problem after arresting a man during a sting operation in Florida. Police say Stanley Walker wasn't working alone. They believe he is part of a much larger ring working out of Jamaica, "They contact you making you believe that you've won a lottery that doesn't exist. And, these people are coerced into sending money to Jamaica in hopes of receiving their money," said Foley Police investigator, Cpl. Tony Nelson. Walker was taken to the Baldwin County Jail and is charged with felony theft. The U.S. Secret Service and a Jamaican task force are also investigating.
