A 61-year-old shoplifting suspect is accused of trying to stab a loss prevention officer.
Mobile police say Sylvester Singleton stole merchandise from the Home Depot on Montlimar Drive on May 11. When he was stopped by a loss prevention officer, police say Singleton pulled out a knife and tried to stab the officer.
Singleton took off in a minivan which police traced back to him. Singleton was arrested October 27th by the Coast Guard.
