It appears the Greater Gulf State Fair is closing on an up note today. Sunny weather was bringing out the crowds today in west Mobile. The fair had been competing with rainy conditions for much of its run this year. Organizers say attendance may be a little down this year but hope things pick up on the final day. There's still time to catch the fair. The ticket office is open until 6 and the midway doesn't start wrapping up until 8.
