It's graduation day for some of the brightest minds in the state of Alabama. The Alabama School of Math and Science said good-bye to the class of 2009. More than 100 students were getting their diplomas today, May 30, 2009. Family members say they're proud of the hard work their students did to get their degrees. Students say they've been waiting for their cap and gown for a long time.
“My favorite part about graduation is getting the diploma, I've been looking forward to this since December, I'm most nervous about giving a speech but wish me luck,” says Graduate Megan Ange. Megan says this was the hardest two years of school in her life but well worth it. Congressman Artur Davis gave the commencement address.
