TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say four people were shot
and one man faces an attempted murder charge after an argument at a
Tuscaloosa lounge.
Police say the shooting that happened around 1 a.m. Saturday at
the Vieux Carre Lounge at the rear of McFarland Mall.
Police Capt. Loyd Baker says 22-year-old Patrick Bernard Kirkman
shot another man in the chest. The wounded man left the club and
returned with a gun. When Kirkman came outside, Baker says, the
wounded man shot Kirkman.
Two others were struck by bullets and had minor injuries.
A police officer arrived during the gunfire and fired at
Kirkman. It's unclear whether the officer hit anyone.
Kirkman was arrested and charged with attempted murder. His bail
is set at $50,000.
