Before closing down for the long weekend, a Mobile office opened its doors to remember a fallen soldier.

West Asset Management on Dauphin Street spends most days working the phones to collect debts. The staff is paying a debt of gratitude this Memorial Day by honoring Staff Sergeant Harrison Brown, better known as Duck.

Duck was killed in Iraq on Easter Sunday in 2007. His Prichard family joined in the day's event where they received plenty of thanks and a plaque from the staff at West.

Next year, the staff at West plans to honor Corporal Chris Mason. Mason is the Army Paratrooper from Mobile who was killed in Iraq in November 2006.
