A Mobile man, whose badly decomposed body was found buried in his backyard, died of a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Authorities tell News Five, an autopsy conducted Wednesday confirmed the cause of death.
Daniel Hocutt, 58, was never reported missing even though police believe he was murdered three years ago. His wife, Sandra Hocutt, also 58, turned herself in Tuesday morning and led investigators to the backyard grave.
Sandra Hocutt is charged with murder. Police have not released a motive, and they have not said why she turned herself in.
This morning, prosecutors asked a judge to set Hocutt's bond at $100,000, but the judge set the bond at $50,000 saying she is not a flight risk.
