Former Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges Tuesday in Pensacola.

Prosecutors allege Morris and his former office manager, Teresa Adams, created fictitious bonuses for sheriff's department employees then pocketed some of the money. According to an audit, Morris bought himself 41 new cars during 12 years in office.

Last month, Morris entered a plea of not guilty. But he has since changed his mind. Tuesday, Morris confessed to stealing $114,000. He faces up to 85 years in prison.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 28th.
