Update
According to Alabama State Troopers, Friday afternoon traffic was stopped on westbound I-10 for several hours involving a multi-vehicle crash that caused big headaches for rush hour commuters.
Troopers say 26-year old Astrid Collins was driving a Mitsubishi when she rear-ended a stopped tractor trailer. Troopers then say Collins got out of the car to check the damage when she was struck by another vehicle. That wreck then a caused a chain-reaction multi-vehicle accident that involved two other vehicles.
According to State Troopers, Collins was the only serious injury and was airlifted to Baptist Hospital.
