The University of Mobile had the day’s earliest graduation ceremony. 357 students graduated at a ceremony in the Mobile Civic Center Saturday morning May 9th, 2009. Organizers say it's a good sized class this year. The ceremony was held at the Mobile Civic Center. University officials say, for many graduates, this marks a big transition in their lives
"They have been in school for many years many older students have come back to school, you know this is an accomplishment and you need to stop and celebrate an accomplishment like this,” says University of Mobile Public Relations Official Kathy Dean. The theme of the ceremony was a celebration. Original faculty members of the university were part of the event.
