South Student Gets A Jump Start

It may be a miserable job market for graduating seniors, but some are getting lucky.

Thousands of college seniors across the country will graduate this month.
But with a miserable job market many will not find a job.

We found a graduating senior who lucked out at USA. 24 year old Andy Tucker is getting his Bachelor's in Engineering this Saturday.
Tucker has been gaining hands on experience through South's Cooperation Education Program.
According to economic experts industries like engineering, law enforcement and education are still growing.
Tucker will be working as a design engineer for the Chevron Refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
"I was kind of surprised especially with the economy there's a lot of students that are struggling getting jobs but I guess hard work paid off,"Said Tucker.

Andy Tucker has also been chosen as "Student of the year" for USA's Cooperative Education Program.
Around 1,300 students will graduate from South on Saturday.
