MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Children in Alabama have been affected
the most by swine flu as the number of probable and confirmed cases
in the state has climbed to 25.
The Alabama Department of Public Health announced Wednesday that
seven additional probable cases have been found in Madison County,
bringing the total there to 21. Four cases have been confirmed in
the state.
Of the 21 cases in Madison County, 20 are children under 13
years of age and the other is an adult elementary school teacher.
Health officials do not recommend canceling large group events
based on concerns over the flu, and schools that were closed
because of it reopened Wednesday.
