Alabama Vets Heading To See WWII Memorial

Honor Flight will take 91 south Alabama veterans to Washington, D.C. for their first look at the National World War II Memorial.

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - The Honor Flight organization will take 91
south Alabama veterans for their first look at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The group leaving Mobile airport on Wednesday will be
accompanied by 42 guardians, including medical staff.

Flight organizer Margaret Coley says the oldest veteran in the
group is 95-year-old Colwin Steadham of Mobile and two others are
92. The flight returns Wednesday evening.
