MOBILE, Ala. – The Coast Guard rescued six boaters Saturday from their 18-foot pleasure craft which was taking on water near Dauphin Island, Ala.
The Coast Guard received a call from a boater on board the pleasure craft at approximately 10:30 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009, reporting that the pleasure craft was taking on water and they required assistance.
Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island launched a 25-foot small boat and crew and arrived on scene at 11:12 p.m. All six boaters were rescued and taken to Billy Goat Hole Marina.
The Coast Guard crew de-watered the vessel and and towed it to Billy Goat Hole Marina.
