Lightning and tornado sirens don't mix. Officials at the Mobile County Emergency Management office say lightning struck this severe weather siren near Florida Street at 6:15 this morning. The bolt fried the early warning device. Officials say the siren then began wailing a default-tone. Workers disabled it. They say it'll be another two to three days before they can repair it.
