A Citronelle Family is breathing a sigh of relief this morning. They were rescued after rising flood water from a nearby creek trapped them inside their home on Robert Walker Road. Citronelle firefighters had to borrow a boat and one by one, brought six family members, including a newborn baby, to higher ground. One family member told News 5 that the water got as high as her thighs inside their kitchen and her dogs were underwater. She was thankful that the crews came and rescued them and their dogs. Theresa Walker says the flooding was a surprise because the creek didn't even overflow during Hurricane Katrina.
