Your house catching on fire is a tough way to find out your teenage daughter is a smoker. But that's exactly what happened to a Mobile mother.

Steve Huffman with Mobile Fire-Rescue says a 13-year-old girl left a lighted cigarette on her bed. The cigarette caught her family's house on Mohawk Street in Midtown on fire. The fire caused $5,000 in damages.

Huffman says the girl's mom didn't know her daughter smokes, until now.
