Schrenker Ordered To Pay Restitution & Fines

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - An Indiana administrative law judge has
ordered a money manager accused of trying to fake his death in a
plane crash to pay $304,000 in restitution to bilked investors and
$280,000 in state fines.
Judge Douglas Webber's order, made public Monday, comes two
months after he heard from investors who said they lost hundreds of
thousands of dollars by investing money with Marcus Schrenker.
Webber, who permanently revoked Schrenker's Indiana insurance
license in January, had been weighing state insurance officials'
request that Schrenker face fines and restitution.
Schrenker was arrested at a Florida campground on Jan. 13, two
days after officials say he put his plane on autopilot and bailed
out to flee personal and financial problems. He faces federal
charges stemming from his plane's crash in Milton, Florida.
