Woman Shot With Arrow

Denise Delgado-Brown says she thought she was
hit in the stomach by a baseball as she walked down a New York City
street. She soon realized it was an arrow that struck her.
Delgado-Brown, a traffic court officer in suburban Yonkers, told
WINS radio she "couldn't believe it."
A St. Barnabas Hospital spokesman says Delgado-Brown is in
stable condition and is being moved from the intensive care unit.
Police say the black arrow with yellow feathers was a
high-performance aluminum projectile, the kind that's used for
target practice. They believe it was shot at random, possibly from
a rooftop or park.
The arrow can travel more than 300 yards.
The shooter could face reckless endangerment charges if it's
determined that the arrow was shot from an area where target
practice is not permitted. No arrests have been made.
