According to Foley police, someone called 911, said they were robbing the Wachovia on Highway 59 and that they had hostages.
Foley police and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office surrounded the bank. They evacuated all the customers and employees and did a floor by floor search of the bank. Police found no sign of a robber.
Neither customers or the employees had any idea why police were there with their guns drawn.
Police are now working to trace the 911 call.

Foley police and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office are investigating reports of a bank robbery in progress at the Wachovia on Highway 59 at Azalea.
So far, there is no sign of a bank robber.
Police have shut down Highway 59 between Azalea and Michigan as a precaution.
