WASHINGTON (AP) - A new government study says fewer teens are
sniffing glue, lighter fluid, spray paint and other inhalants.
But the study also says that the number of adolescents who abuse
such substances remained stable between 2002 and 2007, suggesting
the need for ongoing prevention and treatment efforts.
According to the study released Monday by the Department of
Health and Human Services, almost 1 million youths aged 12 to 17
used some kind of inhalant in 2007.
