ANNISTON, Ala. (AP) - The actor best known as "Borat" is at it
again in Alabama.
Officials confirmed Monday that Sacha Baron Cohen recently
tricked the Alabama National Guard into allowing him onto a post in
Anniston, giving him a military uniform and briefly letting him go
through officer training exercises.
The ruse was going well until a young cadet recognized Cohen,
who is filming a new movie.
State military officials aren't happy about being taken in by
the stunt, which occurred Feb. 13 at the Alabama Military Academy.
But they say it didn't create any problems or a security threat.
A publicist for Cohen declined comment.
Cohen portrayed journalist Borat Sagdiyev in the 2006 hit
"Borat." That film included a scene shot at a dinner party in
suburban Birmingham.
