MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Bob Riley plans to visit with law
enforcement officials in the south Alabama towns affected by
Alabama's deadliest shooting spree on record.
Jeff Emerson, a spokesman for the governor, said Riley would
travel to the area on Tuesday afternoon or evening to meet with
local law enforcement officials to make sure they have everything
they need.
Michael McLendon, 28, set his mother's house on fire and killed
her. He then killed nine other people, including four other
relatives, in two towns before killing himself.
Emerson said Riley was not planning any public appearances.
