A puppy in Mehlville, Missouri, had to be rescued Saturday after falling 12 feet into a drainage pipe.
Susan Thrasher says her Yorkshire Terrier named Otis was roaming in the yard when he fell into the pipe.
The community rushed to help out. One company provided a camera so that crews would know exactly where Otis was located. Heavy equipment dug a huge hole to get the Yorkie out. After about four hours, he was free.
Otis was muddy and wet, but otherwise okay.
The rescue left quite a mess behind. The homeowners say the clean up is well worth having Otis back.
