Prichard Police tried something new Friday afternoon to keep neighborhoods safe.
The street enforcement team launched a crackdown called "Cop In A Box."
13 people were arrested on a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges, including drug possession and outstanding warrants.
Prichard Police Administrator Marvin Whitfield described the operation.
He said, "It's something we utilized in my early days of working with the Mobile Police Department we call 'Cop In A Box.' It hasn't been used in quite long time, so we thought we'd go nostalgic today to change up our operation techniques."
Prichard Police hid in a U-Haul as they drove through neighborhoods.
Whitfield said, "It gives us an advantage to get a little bit closer to our target sites before we're detected."
Whitfield called the evening "successful."
