Governor Bob Riley's Illegal Gambling Task Force hit the streets hard, but one place busted during the raid claims they were not trying to make a profit.
Authorities seized gambling machines at the American Legion Post 153.
The Mobile County District Attorney's office along with law enforcement agencies throughout the county teamed up for the Governor's task force. Authorities seized over 120 gambling machines.
Post 153 admits to having the machines for decades but tell us that they were not for profit, instead the funds went to veteran's causes.

But the Governor's task force did not accept any excuses when they arrested more than a dozen people this afternoon during the raids.
"Every now and then you'll see one that says bingo, sometimes you'll see one that says cherry master. Fact of the matter is the legislature of the State of Alabama, the constitution of the State of Alabama are crystal clear, it's illegal,"Said Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr.

The Mobile County District Attorney's office is also going to follow up to see where the proceeds have gone since the machines began operating.
