Police hit the jackpot Tuesday in a major gambling bust. More than 25 places in Mobile County were raided, more than 120 illegal gambling machines were seized and at least a dozen people were arrested. The Mobile County District Attorney's Office, law enforcement agencies throughout the county and the Governor's Task Force on Illegal Gambling all took part in the bust. The D.A. says businesses that allow gambling have an unfair advantage over the competition, "what were trying to do is keep the playing field level, if you will, so that legitimate businesses can thrive," said Mobile County District Attorney, John Tyson Jr. Authorities haven't folded yet, they say more raids are in the cards.
