Eric Odom is someone most would call a career criminal.
Since 1975, he's racked up eleven felony convictions and seven misdemeanors. Most recently, Odom is wanted in Mobile for claiming to be a police officer and stealing thousands of dollars from two elderly women.
Odom, who has several alias including Eric "Davis", is from the Birmingham area. The 52 year old's criminal history involves 10 cities in at least 6 different states, but while he has spent the last three decades in and out of the courtroom, he has actually spent very little time in jail.
According to court records, in 1995, Eric Odom was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but the sentence was suspended and he served zero. Less than four years later, he was slapped with another 15 year sentence but served just two, and in 2006, Odom was sentenced yet again to 15 years but served only one.
James Kendrick, a Birmingham attorney who represented the 52-year-old nearly three years ago, says Odom is currently on probation. If a judge decides he is in violation of his probation, Kendrick says he could be sent to prison to serve the remainder of his 2006 sentence.
Odom was last seen Saturday. Police don't know if he is still on the Gulf Coast, but if he is, they believe he is staying in hotels in Mobile or Baldwin County.
