A Canadian Football League player from Mississippi is in trouble after Ocean Springs Police say he led them on a chase. Police say it all started with a 911 call from Jason Armstead's ex-girlfriend. Police say the former Ole Miss player was following his ex and tried to get her to pull over by waiving a gun. When an officer spotted Armstead's car, Police say the chase was on, but ended in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Highway 90, " as best we can determine it started at Singing River Mall in Gautier and headed towards Ocean Springs. He followed the victim and he brandished a firearm and pointed for her to you know pull off the side of the road and obviously she didn't do that which was a good idea and she dialed 911 gave us his information about his vehicle and what she was driving," said Ocean Springs Police spokesman, Michael Pol. Police say Armstead is out on bond and facing misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and failure to stop for police.
